Text 7 Mar 5 notes Very disturbing dream: Please help?

So, I had this very strange dream, and I am concerned I am supposed to be deriving something from it (reoccurring symbols, color symbolism I feel I should understand, these are all factors) but I don’t understand it, and my worst fear is that it’s some kind of omen.

Since I suffer from anxiety, unless I critically analyze this, it will eat at me for days or longer. Therefor, I am asking you for your help in interpreting it. Please send me mail, submissions, asks, or replies with any, any thoughts you are willing to share.

Below is the dream itself. I’m copying it from an e-mail to my mom which I just switched to say “Mom” instead of “You”, so excuse the non-sophisticated narration. I kind of write like, I think, a little kid in diaries and familial correspondence since it’s stream of consciousness pour it all out material. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Blessed be.

Ok, so it started out with us at the tack store, but for some reason there was this huge like 1890s dress with gold and black tassels on the bodice (it was dark blue) in the middle of the store, and somebody (some guy, my brain’s version of the store owner maybe? Something like that,) said I could try it on, and so I did. But then some lady asked me to watch her baby, and dream me must have known her because it was all “ok, I’ll cradle your infant while you go do whatever,” and so I did. And I was being all nice and nurturing and cute, and I was going to try on the dress, so I brought it into the dressing room and laid it on the changing table/baby bench thing/counter that was there and it was fine. Then someone called me so I left and poked my head out and I talked for awhile. Then I was all “Oh my gosh, the baby!” so I ran back to it with whoever was there (maybe my mom?) and the baby was (apparently it had a stuffy nose and leaving it alone somehow allowed this to happen? I don’t know) suffocating. It was odd, though, because it turned brown and not blue (like mummy brown). And so we hurried and wiped it’s nose and I was going to do baby CPR, but then it started breathing again and was just fine, and I wanted to hold it but Mom did, and suddenly it could talk (odd baby, funny looking dream baby, too, kind of resembled a baby sloth with a person’s face, or an actual mummy child now that I think of it, with too thin limbs, but with a living person’s skin tone, it was supposed to be alive in the dream anyway,) and it was all cranky, and then I took it and it called me mommy, and I decided this was because my hair color was closer to the mother’s, and then I think she must have reappeared because the dream changed.

In the next one we were at home and the dress was displayed in our living room. I was offering to try it on and show my mom, and we all went downstairs. My sister was there too. Then Dad came in from work, and in behind him rushed sme manic looking guy with thinning blonde hair and a crazy smile and blue eyes and a red shirt, not that intimidating if he weren’t all hunched over and crazy, and he was holding a long knife. He informed us that he was going to kill us or slash our throats or something like that, and then he ran upstairs so he had the high ground, right past us, and then he skuttled up to my parent’s room. Dad went up after him, and we all threw the kitchen knives after the crazy serial killer guy, but they missed by a hair, and Dad disappeared behind the bedroom door after the serial killer. Then we heard the killer laughing, and he poked his head out for a minute, but somehow he was actually in the office, and my sister ran after him! I don’t know where Mom was at this point, or why I didn’t go after my sister, but I just stood there shrieking “DAD, HE’S DOWN HERE, DAD, [MY SISTER] IS TRYING TO GET HIM, DAD, DAD, DAD! DADDY! DADDDDDY!!!” in absolute hysterics like a child because he wouldn’t come out of my parent’s bedroom to come help, and the dream ended before I found out whether he ever came downstairs or not to save my sister.

I don’t know you or your situation…but here are my thoughts. The dress in both dreams seems to represent something...
  3. peeringtheveil answered: I think the first part of your dream means that you have too much going on and that the most important task (the baby) is suffering.
